Honest Food from the Cape Coast

THE LITTLE OLIVE FARM

Sprouted buckwheat bread, cold-pressed olive oil, natural baby bum cream, and fynbos honey, handcrafted on our smallholding along the Cape Coast.

Our Ethos

We bought this piece of land in 2022, during the same week we got married. It felt right to begin a marriage and a farm at the same time.

Both of us come from farming families on our mothers’ side. We do not see ourselves as owners of this land, but as stewards. Our aim is to tread lightly and leave the soil, the trees, and the fynbos healthier than we found them.

We try, imperfectly but deliberately, to live plastic-free. We compost, worm-cast, grow vegetables, tend bees, and work with nature rather than against it. We employ and work alongside people from our local community, and we do our best to protect the fynbos we are blessed to live among, which Lise-Mari botanically illustrates from time to time.

Everything we make flows from this place and these values.
